Corfu.

We visited Corfu for the first time this summer...we stayed near Lefkimmi on the very southern part of the island.

Corfu Town.

Singers in national dress.

One of the beautiful churches

Candles lit.

Wonderful, long tapers.

Fascinating views all around.

The fortress.

Lots of ships!

Awesome!

Baklava and iced coffee.

Moonlight and ship's lights.

Day trip to Paxos.

It was a steep learning curve getting on to the car ferry! Lots of shouting in Greek! So we didn't understand what was required LOL!

Crammed on like sardines!

Beautiful, deep blue.

The end of Corfu.

Arriving at Paxos.

Unloading was slightly less stressful!

Paxos harbourside

Good drying weather!

Drying octopus.

Monodendri Beach....beautiful turquoise sea and white pebble beach.

On another trip we then took a taxi boat from Paxos to the smaller Antipaxos island...so, so beautiful and completely unspoilt...I felt like I was very far away..the furthest I've ever been from civilisation!

The sea was so clear and blue and the sand so white.

Vrika's Taverna.

If you visit Antipaxos you must go to Vrika's...wonderful food and very friendly man...very enthusiastic about his mama's cooking!

Grilled sardines caught that morning.

Baked, stuffed aubergine...absolutely delicious...the handcut chips were great too!
