Just enjoying afternoon tea on the lawn when we were amazed to see a pair of very low flying military helicopters and a jet fly by...he's camouflaged against the trees.
Afternoon tea for one..the dessert part, there were finger sandwiches to go with this!
Warm sultana scones, damson jam and clotted cream, fruit cake, egg custard tart, apple turn over, pistachio and chocolate macaroon, chocolate truffle cake, rhubarb crumble, peanut cookie and orange and cinnamon roulade!
We ate in the Ruskin Brasserie in the evening.
Pan-fried Sea Bass.
Polenta.
Dark choclate mousse, pistachio sorbet, blueberry gel.
Yorkshire cheese platter.
Coconut panna cotta, pineapple sorbet, milk chocolate mousse.
A wonderful meal with great service let down by the petit fours! Chocolate raisins?! I don't think so! Where were the handmade truffles?! Very disappointing.
