My children rate Gingerbread Dude as their top choice from all the bakeries I visit...he's from Hebden Bridge. He's soft and very good for my teeth says my soon to be 6 year old with his first wobbly tooth....

Bags with Bespoke Tags.
My friend makes papercraft stuff in her spare time..lovely personalised gift bags and cards.
Non-fattening cupcakes! Flannels with soaps..what a great idea for a little gift. Lovely cards, gift tags and gift bags..wonderful notebooks and hairbands and brooches.

Roasted seafood.
Clams, mussels and king prawns roasted with olive oil, chopped tomatoes, garlic and rose wine.
Served with rice, crusty bread, chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon. Yum.
Leeds Kirkgate Market.
Lovely fishmonger at Leeds market, very obliging. I bought large clams, mussels, king prawns and sea bass.

Beautiful Victorian architecture of the market building.
I liked the look of this shop, Memphis Belle...vintage costume and fancy dress..will have to have a look next time I go there. Loving the Royal Wedding themed window display!
Sunny lunch at Harvey Nick's.
A beautiful sunny Friday sat on the balcony at Harvey Nick's Fourth Floor restaurant in Leeds...felt like being on holiday.
Poached hen's egg with parmesan on sprouting broccoli.
Ham hock and apple salad with soft-boiled quail's eggs and rocket....was delicious.
Sea trout with lemon butter and noodles with crab, spring onion and chilli. Wonderful.
Yorkshire Rhubarb trifle. Very nice....a little over-facing I only managed half! I am fascinated by the Yorkshire Rhubarb Triangle and would love to visit and watch the growers pick the forced stems by candlelight..apparently you can hear them growing...they look a bit alien...but the tender stems are so delicious.
