Piggy Tails Bubblegum.

Found these extraordinary things in a shop the other day...makes you wonder how the marketing meeting went LOL!!!

I thought they'd be a bit, well, curlier!! ;-)

Knitted Sow and piglets.

Aw how cute are these? My Mum knitted them.....

Good Afternoon Mr Robin!

My little Robin redbreast friend...always on the lookout!

"Well, I've seen you've put those mealworms in that poppy feeder"

"but I'm just going to take a closer look at what you sprinkled on the wall..."

"oh yes....sunflower seeds!"

Russian Caravan tea.

Totally sold on the romance of the name...it was a little too smokey for my taste...woodland bonfire scent... a blend of oolong, keemun, and lapsang souchong teas. Cool name though!

Birthday cupcake.

Strawberry cupcake...and it was just as delicious as it looked! Yum..yum..

Good morning Mrs Blackbird.

How beautiful is she? Managed to get my camera out quick enough to snap her pic! Tempted onto the wall in front of the kitchen window by fat soaked bread. The robin and the wren, however are playing hard to get!

Burlesque lamp.

I decided the only way to get the sort of lamp I wanted for the bedroom was to make it...soooo I found the perfect base this morning in an antique shop in Hebden Bridge...but it had no electric workings on it...anyway I took it to a friendly electrical stall and the lovely, helpful lady helped me out with all the bits I needed...it's the first time I've ever stripped a cable or attached a plug..so I'm thrilled to bits with the result!

I used a lacy camisole top to cover the chintzy shade, added some tassels and pompom braid, a cheeky bow and ta daa!!

Beautiful 50s, plaster base.

Where the cable threads through..

With the lamp lit.

I like the colours of the chintz glowing through.

Hardcastle Crags.

A wonderful, hidden away place just near Hebden Bridge...park up and off you go walking...there are easier routes or just plain bonkers ones that would have mountain goats puffing, I'm sure! (or was that just me?!) Just don't forget your wellies, it's pretty boggy and then there are three sets of stepping stones across the river, if you're feeling brave! Nice cafe at the end of it though, so you can refuel for your walk back!

Birthday shoes!

Ooh it's my birthday soon...I bought these gorgeous shoes and feather bag with some money I was kindly given...

Can't wait to wear them!

Sandsend.

Sandsend is a little village just along the East coast from Whitby....it's a beautiful place, quite unspoilt with little rows of houses, some traditionally thatched. There are a couple of cafes, my favourite being the Beach Cafe which has recently been rebuilt..still from wood, precariously on the ground above the beach....a great spot for keeping warm on cold days whilst affording a great view of all the beach activity!

Sandsend beach looking towards Whitby.

St Hilda's Abbey and St Mary's Church, high up on top of the cliffs at Whitby.

Whitby lighthouse.

Lots of seagulls...sailors of the sky.

Wave breakers...this reminded me of  Munch's The Scream!

Big tape measure! To measure the sea's height up the promenade wall.

Bladderwrack seaweed.

Limpets, Barnacles and sea snails crowded inside the wave breaker.

I loved the line of pebbles trapped between the wave breaker.

Well worn steps up to the promenade.

Quack!

Birdy footprints.

These birdy footprints were just soooo cute...we were fascinated.

Robin Redbreast.

I managed to get a photo of the little robin...he's been on the poppy birdfeeder but I've yet to catch him on it when I've got my camera!
