The corkscrew hazel survived its move last year and is covered in catkins...they're so beautiful dancing in the breeze on my Singing Ringing Tree...and if you know what I'm on about you're older than you're making out! laughs...

body English
Oooh am most excited that one of my poetry friends has had his first chapbook published! It's really very beautiful and I have found his work most inspiring. He writes in a modern style and uses some wonderful vocabulary painting fabulous images which are quite moving. The book is available to buy online from Amazon.com and Create space although he is hoping it will be more widely available soon. I wish him all the best for this book journey and hope demand outstrips printing! With any luck he might be kind enough to give me some advice in future if I decide I'd like some poems to make their way into the real world!

Snowdrops
I have always loved snowdrops. I think it's one of the many things my mother has passed on to me. I remember as a child her delight in buying tiny posies of them wrapped in dark green ivy leaves in the market. They haven't sold them for years. Such a delicate but resilient little flower with the most exquisite perfume. the colours are beautiful..soft almost grey greens and the purest white...a miniscule flash of yellow hidden in the centre. They're late flowering this year because of the very cold weather. The Fair Maids of February are late for the Spring Ball, but oh so worth the wait...
