Autumn Sailing.

In a seedbed of dreams and hopes;

petal-soft memories wait to break

cover as we run in the spaces between

tears, ever hopeful of not getting wet.

This woodland seascape with its green

white noise percolates through the void;

quenching my soul’s unrelenting thirst

with its verdant perfume.

The rising mist augurs the arrival of

a seasonal change; the clock ticks over

unheard and I carry my own rainbow,

oblivious to the forecast anymore.

Ravioli

It turned out much better than I'd hoped! Served with tiny broad beans, rocket and parmesan. I'll definitely make again..needs plenty of time for faffing.
Prawn, lemon, chilli, parsley, salt and pepper.

Diascias

Diascia Peter...named after Peter Seabrook I think. My new favourite..beautiful, cheerful Peachy/pink blooms, prolific and long-lasting, comes back year after year.
Diascia Flying Colours.

Pinky and Perky

Pinky and Perky are living up to their names...oink.

Roses

The roses are quite beautiful this year. Maybe they enjoyed the long, hard winter.

Lily-of-the-Valley

Such exquisite little flowers with the most heady scent...they take my breath away every year.
My mother used to sing this to me when I was tiny:

White Coral Bells
Upon a slender stalk
Lilies of the valley deck my garden walk
Oh, don't you wish that you might hear them ring?
That will happen only when the fairies sing.

Splash

.

Thoughts imagined,

highlighted appropriately

in a fancy font.

A corner secretly nibbled

from a celebratory cake

before the candles are

even extinguished.

Love slips silently

between shade and

light like the glint

of a tail fin seen

unexpectedly in

a tranquil pool.

Pebbles skim the

surface and we're all

just a hopscotch step

away from the daisy

filled meadows of

the Summerland.
